Casella Wines, a world-class producer that does not need an introduction, for a wine lover would have at least once in life tried these premium drops. This Australian winery has broken all records over the years with its fastest wine bottling line to meet the insane requirement for [yellow tail] wines. This new bottling line can process a huge number of 36,000 bottles every hour. Today an immensely popular brand in the industry, it began its journey from the rags.
HISTORY
The foundations of Casella Wines were laid down moons before its actual establishment when Filippo and wife Maria Casella moved from Italy to the township of Yenda, NSW, in order to give wings to their dreams and start a winery. They purchased Farm 1471, the current home of Casella Family Brands. It was in the year 1969 when Casella Wines was born, a year that marked the bottling of the first wine by the brand.
In the following years, the company grew rapidly with the production of the first vintage, the installation of stainless steel tanks & fermenters and so on. In 1995, the next generation took over the helm as their middle son John Casella became the Managing Director. As he entered the industry, he realised the gap between the demand & the production of wine style. To fill this up, he decided to craft wines that are easy-drinking yet deliver taste, quality and value. This marked the introduction of [yellow tail] wines. In the very beginning, the label witnessed unbelievable sales. In 2003, its global sales cross 5 million cases.
Consecutive years brought great fame, with [yellow tail] Premium Cab Sav 2003 & [yellow tail] Premium Shiraz 2003 winning the prestigious Jimmy Watson Memorial Trophy and the Stoddart Trophy respectively.
To meet the ever-increasing demand, Casella installs the fastest wine bottling line in 2006. Over the years, it collaborated with over 500 grape growers, producing wines to be exported to more than 50 countries across the globe.
